We’re looking for a Finance Manager who’ll report to a Financial Controller in the Treasury, Investment, and Equity financial control team which has responsibility for the accounting of cash, deposits, financial derivatives, bonds, reverse repo’s, investments in subsidiaries, inter-company balances, share capital and premium, retained earnings and dividends, group consolidation accounting.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the financial controllers investigating and resolving cash reconciliation breaks, and accounting issues/breaks across derivatives, bonds, and reverse repos, investments in subsidiaries, inter-company, and equity
  • Ensuring accurate and timely closing of the books for monthly and annual reporting
  • Preparing analysis on movements in key general ledger accounts
  • Delivering process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process – both via automation and control
  • Enhancing the balance sheet and profit/loss substantiation process leveraging new group systems and tools
  • Participating in annual and interim audits
  • Delivering advice on accounting and reporting issues
  • Contributing to and defining consolidation, as well as financial control processes and procedures

What you’ll need

  • University degree in finance or economics
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or external audit, with a strong understanding of financial operations and controls
  • Excellent accounting knowledge, with proven experience with IFRS and consolidated financial reporting
  • Financial services experience, ideally with international aspects
  • A structural and logical approach to solving problems
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a hands-on attitude
  • Experience within a fast growing organisation 
  • Great motivation and focus on delivery

  • Experience with NetSuite
  • SQL understanding
  • FloQast / Gsuite
